Basic Computing and Applications refer to the fundamental concepts and skills necessary to operate a computer and perform basic tasks using different software applications. At this level, learners are introduced to basic computer hardware and software components, as well as how to use the operating system to navigate and manage files and folders.

In addition to basic hardware and software components, learners are also introduced to different software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. They are taught how to create, edit, and format documents using word processing software, how to create and manage spreadsheets using spreadsheet software, and how to create and deliver presentations using presentation software.
